Skating By The Sea
November 23rd – January 1st
Come down the Hotel Del Coronado after Thanksgiving to get into the Holiday Spirit by ice skating by the sea! The ice rink opens up the day after thanksgiving and will be open until January so come get your ice skating fill! For more information click here.
December 1st – 2nd
Come to Balboa Park December 1 and 2 for festive fun, food attractions and complimentary admission to all museums! This is one of the most popular events in San Diego, so come early for parking or take public transportation. For more information click here.
Encinitas Holiday Parade
This year’s Encinitas Holiday Parade theme is “Celebrating the Arts.” Encinitas has a thriving art scene, and for the 2017 Parade, nearly 100 expected entries will go all out, showcasing amazing and beautiful floats, performance art and music. Click here for more information about the event.
Santa by the Sea Christmas Tree Lighting
The Del Mar Village is hosting this annual tradition once again! Join others in the lighting of the tree that will shine in the heart of Del Mar throughout the season! Holiday Celebration with Santa
Head down to the Del Mar Highlands Town Center for two spectacular laser light shows at 5:15 pm and 6:15 pm, complete with falling snow! Take photos with Santa, Mrs. Claus and their elf, sing along with the Dickens carolers and enjoy performances by local schools! Oceanside Harbor Parade of Lights
Fishing boats, sail boats, yachts, kayaks ,and dingys will be dressed up in holiday swag and circling the Oceanside Harbor to enchant onlookers at the harbor, restaurants and beach on December 9th. 34th Annual Hannukah Happening
Come down to La Jolla and celebrate the 34th annual Hannukah Happening! It will take place December 10th from 11:00AM – 2:00PM. This is a community-wide holiday extravaganza for all ages! The Nutcracker Ballet at the Honda Civic Theatre

The San Diego Bay Parade of Lights will entertain the bayfront crowds during the evenings of December 10th and 17th. Participants in this year’s highly anticipated holiday boat parade will decorate their boats to fit this year’s theme, A Pirate’s Christmas. Gaslamp Holiday Pet Parade

Deck those paws with bells so jolly and jingle all the way through the Gaslamp Quarter for The San Diego Union-Tribune Gaslamp Holiday Pet Parade. Pet owners and their furry, feathered, and scaled companions are invited to don their favorite costumes for this jolly promenade and pet expo on Sunday, December 10, 2017, at MLK Promenade Park.
